Captain's Log -- December 15, 2022

Happy Holidays from your Maritime Center! As we continue to celebrate National Maritime Heritage Month, here's what we've been up to!

A Visit From The Mayor

Today, the Mississippi Shipbuilding and Maritime Center welcomed Pascagoula Mayor Jay Willis for a visit to our museum! Mayor Willis discussed plans to work with the Maritime Center to interpret Pascagoula's history with our Executive Director. We are excited to share our vison for the future of the museum with the city of Pascagoula!

Our French dugout canoe has moved to our exhibit hall! We are excited to showcase this part of Pascagoula history. Stay tuned for information on the official opening date of the exhibit!
