Help Provide Afghan Refugee Assistance

In the coming days, weeks and months, our Churches around the New Mexico Conference will be offered another opportunity to practice radical hospitality as tens of thousands of Afghan individuals and families are now entering the United States for resettlement purposes.

During the month of September, help the effort by brining donations to church and placing them in the bins in the Hospitality Center. Near the end of September, we will arrange another drive-in, drop-off opportunity for those of you who have not returned to in-person church services.

If you would like to provide monetary support, submit a check (or donate on-line) to St. John's with "Afghan Refugee Assistance" in the memo line.

September Special Offering: Sacremento Methodist Assembly

"Come to the Mountain". "Let God refresh Your Soul". For ninety years people have communed with God at beautiful Sacramento Methodist Assembly near Cloudcroft. You may remember the importance of Christian camping in your youth, or experienced powerful retreats as an adult. God often speaks to us most profoundly when we can leave daily life for a while and spend time in the beauty of God's creation.

The existence of the camp at Sacramento depends on our support. Covid has limited some activities, but happily some did return this past summer. And we all pray that in the future many more folks will be able to "come to the mountain" to pray, worship, play and study. It depends on us. Please give generously.
