K-State Olathe campus celebrates 10 years
Today, K-State Olathe is celebrating 10 years in Greater Kansas City. The campus opened its doors on April 26, 2011, as the first higher education facility supported by a local tax.
Consumer research on a continental level
Grace Deubler, a doctoral student in human ecology, is looking at the drivers of liking around men's face lotion in the U.S. and South Korea. Her goal is to identify which characteristics of face lotion are most important to men.

Middle school summer camp explores food science and careers
K-State Olathe is offering a virtual summer camp for middle schoolers interested in the science of cooking — and the fun of eating their creations.

Capabilities and client base grows for food industry, entrepreneur resource
In 2020, the Food Innovation Accelerator expanded its capabilities and saw its clientele triple. The accelerator is a physical resource for food-based entrepreneurs and the food product and ingredient industry.

Four faculty to emphasize the need for collaboration around zoonotic diseases at online national conference
As part of a national conference, four K-State faculty are discussing the need for intentional partnerships by public administration, public health and animal health professionals when it comes to responding to and improving policy for zoonotic diseases.

Hospitality Management student, Camber McDonald, receives prestigious Les Dames d'Escoffier scholarship
Congratulations to K-State Olathe hospitality management student Camber McDonald for receiving the prestigious Les Dames d'Escoffier scholarship as she studies to pursue a career in eco-tourism. McDonald shares:

"As a non-traditional student, I felt that I had missed the opportunities to experience college and receiving this prestigious scholarship validates that it is never too late to try again; it is never too late to refocus on your education and career.
