Show and Sell Product Pickup's
Some Important reminders for this year's Pick up's.
  1. Mask are required when picking up your popcorn.
  2. Please remember not to bring extra people to the pick up's as we are trying to limit the number of people at the warehouse. This included kids and pets.
  3. Remember to clean out your vehicle including car seats, blankets, extra stuff in the truck or back of your vehicle. This way you will have room for the popcorn. If you need to leave car seats in we understand just make sure you have enough vehicles to fit all your popcorn.
  4. We will have a staff person that will let you know when you can pull up to a pickup spot. If you see another vehicle waiting please form an orderly line and we will get to everyone as soon as we can. 
  5. Do not plan on splitting popcorn at the pick up warehouse. You will need to go off site to sort unit popcorn.
  6. You will have to double check your count and sign that you have received everything on the packing list. You may bring your own pen to sign your form.
  7. We will ask you to move your vehicle right away so we can help the next unit.
 
We will be emailing a schedule out late Monday as we are still waiting to hear back from several units to schedule a pick up time. 

Janesville - Chamber and Owens  Thursday September 17, Pick up between Noon and 6 pm.
Elkhorn - Parking lot pick up , Thursday September 17, Pick up between 4:30 and 6 pm
Madison - Former Menard's  Building, Friday September 18, Pick up between 10 am and 5 pm, Limited time slots on Saturday, September 19.

Take order product pick up date Change
The Take order product pick up will be Friday and Saturday, November 6 & 7, 2020. The Location is TBD. Several units have switched from Show & Sell orders and are doing Take order and Online orders. We will let you know as soon as we have determined where we have enough space and based on the volume of the take orders placed by units.   
Free Shipping Update

Trail's End has been running a variety of test on reduced fee for shipping and free Shipping with a minimum order of either $30 or $40 or more. They have determined that the best option is Free Shipping for minimum order of $30  or more. 

As announced in an email to the unit Kernels and Scouts they announced the current offering as "Starting September 11, 2020  to September 17, 2020 the Free Shipping will apply to minimum orders of $30 or more"  and then "Starting September 17,  2020  to September 24, 2020 the Free Shipping will apply to minimum orders of $30 or more" 

Trail's end is running the current promotion with an end date and they are doing this for a couple of reasons.

1. To create a since of urgency for the customer to go online and place an order to get the free shipping with a minimum order of $30. 

2. Councils are being allowed to opt in or out of these Free Shipping Promotions on a weekly basis. As we discussed the Shipping is not really free as the cost is bring passed on to the Council and the units.  We will be participating in all Free Shipping opportunities as we feel it will help the Scouts and units with online sales. 

Trail's End will continue to offer Free Shipping opportunities through out the rest of the sale. However, there may be a day or two in between where there will not be free shipping. Plus there will always be a minimum order amount for the Free Shipping promotion. They will send an email out to the unit Kernels and the Scouts giving them the specifics of each opportunity.  Please watch your Trail's End emails for updates. We will be posting these on the GEC Popcorn Facebook page. 
Banners & Square Readers & Order Forms

So I have been informed from some unit kernels that Trail's End is shipping the banners directly to the unit kernels. If you have not received yours you soon be soon. 

Square Readers
The square readers were starting to be shipped out last week by Trail's End. If you haven't received them yet you should soon. You can contact [email protected]. 

Order Forms
Order Forms are available at the Madison Service Center and the Janesville Shop. You can also work with your District Executive to make arrangements to get them.

Our popcorn vendor, Trail's End, manages sales for several BSA Councils.  You may see dates on their Facebook page or other communications that contradict those above.  The dates above are Glacier's Edge Council's official sales dates.  If any changes are made, an announcement will be made by our Council Office.
