Tax credit drops next year
Currently, the federal tax credit is equal to 26% of total solar project costs, including cost of batteries and support structures like ground mounts, canopies and awnings.
Next year, the tax credit drops to 22% of total solar project costs. If you would like to capture the 26% tax credit on your residential project, LightWave must install your system before the end of this year. Commercial projects can "safe harbor" with at least a 5% payment in 2020.
