Today's Flashback Friday story comes from member, The Fullington Auto Bus Company. Let's look back...

The year is 1908: The United States celebrates Mother's Day for the first time; Lyndon B. Johnson and Milton Berle are born; Henry Ford rolls out the first Model T (price: $825); Emerson Fullington purchases a nine-passenger, horse-drawn surrey to transport residents to the local train station...The Fullington Auto Bus Company (FABCO) has been born!

In 1915, the fleet consisted of two Model 15 white buses operating a seven-mile scheduled route. FABCO continued to expand its service during World War II, carrying the troops locally to connect to go to war and home again and the line runs nationalized in 1981 when FABCO joined the Trailways® system. After 112 years in business, they continue to make history, surviving the 2020 pandemic!
