The Chair is responsible for the overall implementation of the strategic direction and performance of the Tribunal, which is composed of its Hearing and Appeal Divisions, subject to the provisions of the Law Society Act, its regulations and Convocation’s policies. The Chair is accountable to Convocation to provide expert leadership to the Tribunal to ensure that it operates fairly, efficiently and effectively within its mandate.

The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) is seeking an experienced professional to lead its Consumer Protection Division (CPD). The CPD is responsible for regulating the fair trade in goods and services between customers and businesses when the purchases are for personal, household or family use. This includes market regulation, sector-specific business and salesperson licensing, complaint investigation, education initiatives, and enforcement action. The division also supports the Film Classification Office and oversees the Funeral and Cremation Services Council.

The Director is responsible for developing and executing a multi-year Human Resources Plan in support of operational objectives and the strategic plan of the organization. The role also provides strategic advice to the LSO’s Senior Management Team and drives the importance and role of people in long term planning.

The Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) is a private not-for-profit corporation that if designated by the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, will be the regulatory authority responsible for licensing of Ontario’s new home builders and vendors. HCRA intends to foster improved home quality and homebuyer confidence in the home building industry through modernized licensing standards, education and compliance, providing increased consumer protection through enhanced regulatory measures.
