Happy Father's Day
From FaithWorks
Dads , Step Dads, Papas and those with a Father's Heart,

WE HONOR YOU

“With my addiction came many challenges, becoming homeless was one of them. Things are not always easy, but God will work things out in His timing. Never lose hope and keep pushing forward.” - Raymond

Meet Stepdad Raymond! Raymond Is the father of a 6-year-old daughter and his new identity includes being a family man. Raymond struggled with substance abuse and the choices he made while under the influence eventually landed him in prison.

“I noticed when I got out of prison everyone in my town was in the exact same place as when I left. My motivation to change was I wanted better for myself.”
He was accepted into Francis Court and was grateful to have a stable home for him and his family. He has excelled in many areas while participating in the programming at Francis Court. With a roof over his head, his focus has turned to other priorities. He was encouraged to get his driver’s license and was released from parole early! Raymond and his partner are both employed, working to grow in their sobriety and strengthening their spiritual foundation.
Raymond dreams of owning his own home and plans to use his tools to stay focused during the process of achieving his hopes and goals.
Happy Father’s Day Raymond!

“We are able to live together with a roof over our heads and have since restored some normalcy.” -Mike

Meet Mike, father of 3 boys! This dad traveled the rough road for many years battling with drug addiction and a reckless lack of responsibility. Mike said his wake-up call was having his kids removed by CFS and he shared that him and his partner are still working to convince themselves that they are good parents.
After obtaining shelter at Francis Court, his family worked hard to complete the court process called “family reunification.” Mike and his partner have maintained their sobriety and completed multiple parenting classes. Mike has excelled is school and is nearly finished with his Heavy Equipment Operator Program!

Mike and his family have secured a place at FaithWork's permanent supportive housing program and will be moving over very soon.
The path of recovery and reunification is not an easy one, but this dad has continued trudging through the wreckage of his past!
Mike challenges other dads to “not give up before giving the miracle a chance of happening for you. There’s a better life out there waiting for you.”

Blessings to you Mike and you are an amazing dad!
