YOGA RELAY
to Support Family Caregivers!

You are invited to join Savannah Power Yoga and the Edel Caregiver Institute in raising support for our local caregivers by joining together in a yoga relay! What’s a Yoga Relay? We will do 100 sun salutations together - you can do them all yourself, or create a relay team and tag in and out as needed.

A caregiver is someone who provides care to another person who is elderly, ill, or disabled. Family caregivers receive little training on how to deliver complicated care. Not surprisingly, research shows that family caregivers are at increased risk for health, emotional, financial, and work-related problems. Hospice Savannah’s Edel Caregiver Institute is your community’s resource for hands-on training and support for family caregivers.

What is Project Sherpa?
Have you ever left a doctor's appointment with more concerns or questions than before you went in?
Perhaps you felt rushed or were embarrassed, even hesitant to ask for more details?
Would you find it helpful if a doctor accompanied you and/or your care recipient to their next medical appointment to be an advocate on your behalf?
Project Sherpa's retired medical professional volunteers do just that at no charge! Your Sherpa will help ask questions and gather all the facts so that, together, you can make the best medical decisions for you, or your loved one's care.
