District 91 Delays First Day of School

You're probably aware of what is happening with your child's school district, but we may share news that we come across on these issues.

The Idaho Falls School District 91 Board of Trustees voted Thursday night to push back the start of classes for all students from Aug. 26 until Aug. 31.

Board members say the delay will allow educators a few extra days to prepare and implement plans for online teaching. It will also align the Idaho Falls School District 91 start date with Bonneville Joint School District 93.

Special Ed Webinars

In case you missed these, Dr. Charlie Silva, Director of Special Education at the Idaho State Department of Education, hosts webinars for Special Education Directors to keep everyone on the same page when it comes to school districts, students with IEPs and Special Education. These are archived on the Idaho Training Clearinghouse website.

Understanding Idaho Medicaid and School Based Services - September 2020's Statewide Training

This in-depth training covers the complexities of Idaho’s Medicaid services and programs. Topics include SSI and Medicaid eligibility, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, CHIP, and more.

Our statewide training is webcast monthly live via Zoom Webinar. Registration is required.

Once you have registered, you will be sent an email with your registration confirmation as well as a link so you can join the webcast when it goes live.
