Dear Mack Families,
When you became a Mack parent, you automatically became a valuable part of our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF). As a PTF, we are committed to serving our staff, students, parents, and the community at large.
We help plan and organize fun events and service activities throughout the year. It takes everyone doing their part to have a flourishing, strong community.
There are many ways to be involved and we would love to have you read through the packet linked below and see if any of the open event, classroom coordinator, or PTF Executive Board positions could benefit from your unique strengths, skills, and experience.
We have handouts on how each role works and what needs to be done, so you don’t have to re-create the work. We would love to have you join us!

|
Please mark your calendars for our first in-person PTF meeting and social for the school year on Wednesday, June 2 at 8:30am.
We will meet outside under the covered play area. The morning will start with a short PTF meeting and the remainder of the time we will be having our social, which will be a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other Mack parents.
We are excited to have this opportunity to meet in person and look forward to seeing you there!

If you have questions, please email April Banach. Applications due May 24.

Clothing donations
A change of clothes is often a need for our students throughout the day and the Health Room is generally supplied with extra clothing. However, our supply is getting low. If you happen to be doing some spring cleaning and have any children's clothing you'd like to donate, we would welcome your donation. We are especially in need of boys sweatpants and girls leggings, sizes 6-14. They can be dropped off at the office anytime. Thank you!

Parents, please feel free to share the kind of classroom that works best for your child via the form below. When completing the form, please do not name specific teachers. It is also helpful to know which friends are important to your child so that everyone enters a new school year with a buddy. It is most helpful if you list a group of friends that your child feels comfortable with.
|
|
Please do not list only a best friend, as we cannot guarantee they will be together, but with a group of friends, it is possible to pair each child with someone they are comfortable with.
Please complete the form and return it to the front office by, Friday, May 21.

One of the tables that our preschoolers/pre-K students visit regularly is our science station, where they learn about plants and animals and how things work, test scientific hypotheses, and record their observations. There are also special outdoor learning times throughout the year.
For the last few weeks, Mrs. Wasson’s classes have been observing the life cycle of the butterfly in their classroom, watching as five caterpillars created chrysalides, then waiting and watching some more until at last five beautiful butterflies emerged. The students then had the joy of setting the butterflies free!

Meanwhile, Mrs. Underhill’s students learned about buoyancy by testing which materials do and do not float in water. They also helped to plant the Mack garden, while Mrs. Schroeder’s students planted beans and watched them grow.
|
|
Mrs. Kaskes’s Pre-K students recently practiced coding skills at the science table as they built mazes and programmed Colby, the mouse, to go find the cheese.
|
Does it float? YES, it does!
