Homelessness Affects Everyone
Across our policies and procedures, our hiring, volunteers, committees, and board members, we strive to honor and represent the many people we serve so all voices are heard and different perspectives and ideas on how best to serve are shared. Will you help us be more representative and inclusive?
Are you interested in volunteering, serving on a committee, on our diversity task force, or joining the board? We're seeking board members with accounting, law/legal, event planning, or property management expertise. Call our ED, Jason, at (812) 422-0297 x6 or email info@unitedcaringservices.org. Thank you.

Celebrating 30 Years of Caring
United Caring Services has entered its thirtieth year of serving our community. We celebrated this occasion in worship on June 13 with Bethel UCC - the church that started this journey. We received $5,000 to continue our mission and ministry together. Pictured: Letta Fraccaro and Brian Newton (UCS Board President).

As part of our ongoing 30th-anniversary celebration, we have been sharing quotes on social media from volunteers, donors, agency partners, staff & guests about the impact of UCS on them and in our community. Here are two.

Care Team Updates - Welcome!
We welcome two new care team members to United Caring Services. If you see Mike or Marcia, then be sure to introduce yourself and say, "Hello." Also, we say "Goodbye" to Lisa English who was a care team member in our women's night shelter program for almost two years and recently retired.
Mike McClaren has been on staff with UCS for almost two months. He mainly works in the Men's Night Shelter. Mike is dedicated and passionate about helping people experiencing homelessness. He is a great addition to our team.
Marcia Birge is our newest care team member serving mainly in our Women's Night Shelter. Marcia is already making a positive impact at Ruth's House in the lives of the ladies who stay there. We are happy to have her as part of our team.
