Hola! We all hope you are having a safe and happy summer so far!
Our big project at TAPA this summer has been planning for a safe start to school for the fall. While we have submitted big picture versions of the plans for virtual, hybrid (half in person and half virtual), and fully in-person school to RIDE, the work to pick a plan and fine-tune it is only just beginning. To do that, we want our TAPA students, families, and community to be the ones who help drive what a safe but rigorous reopening looks like.
We are asking for parents and students to sign up to be part of the TAPA reopening committee.
The committee will work with teachers and Admin to create what the day-to-day systems and structures of our school will look like while keeping everyone’s safety, well being, and educational goals at the forefront.
Reach out to
Ms. Vidal
or
Mr. Cordeiro
if you would like to be part of this committee.
The first meeting is scheduled for 3:30-4:30pm on Wednesday 7/22.
If you can’t make that meeting but want to be part of that process please be sure to let us know and include what your best available days and times are. Our goal is to review all the possible ways we could start school in the fall, and then work together to identify the right plan and make it work at the highest level of quality for our students and community.
We miss you all and look forward to seeing you all again, whether through a computer screen or in person. What matters most is knowing that our students will continue to grow as artists and scholars while they, their families, and our teachers and staff stay safe.
