The data-driven approach will help teachers facilitate growth within the whole child and position each child for future success.  Village becomes the fifth school to begin the redesign process.

Build For the Future:
All three current construction projects, Emporia High School, Walnut Elementary, and the Early Learning Center continue to be on schedule.  The construction team is finalizing the design development documents and working to be fiscally responsible while maximizing the budget for each project.  The community will begin to see construction on each facility as early as this September at Walnut with the other facilities shortly thereafter.  During the meeting Kevin Case, Superintendent announced the district has received a $6,000,000 multiyear grant from the Walter S. and Evan C. Jones Testamentary Trust to support USD 253 in constructing a new Early Learning Center.  These funds will be combined with bond money that was approved by voters this past fall.
