Arizona's Children's Charities
Rock'n on the Runaway

The Arizona's Children's Charities 2020 Virtual Campaign is in full swing, and with COVID-19 still preventing most fundraising events, we need our community to support this amazing campaign now more than ever!

Be sure to visit the Rock'n on the Runway website and follow, like, and share their posts on Facebook and Instagram.

They've already posted some exciting throwbacks, videos from special guests & shout outs to supporters and have more to come in the next few weeks. We look forward to sharing these memories and seeing Greenville show up in big ways for the 2020 virtual campaign.

To support these efforts which directly benefit Pendleton Place and our programs, please donate here!

SYNNEX Share the Magic

Like many other local organizations, our friends at SYNNEX Share the Magic have switched to a virtual format for their 2020 gala and fundraiser.

However, during this 10th Anniversary year, they remain committed to raising funds and awareness for the 4 charities they support - including Pendleton Place!

They have a great schedule planned including an online auction and a designated recognition day for each charity. Monday, September 28th has been reserved for Pendleton Place!  Stay tuned to our social media channels for more information on this special day and you can also follow @SynnexSharetheMagic to stay up to date on all giveaways and events.

The virtual event will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6pm-7pm and the silent auction will open for bidding on September 24th.  You can register for both HERE
Staff Spotlight: Jordan Hemphill
YRC Youth Outreach Coordinator

Jordan joined the Pendleton Place team in February as the Youth Resource Center (YRC) Independent Living Specialist.  She jumped in feet-first providing direct support for homeless youth as well as assisting with all other YRC functions.  When the YRC recently expanded to include the Safe Place program, Jordan was the perfect fit for a new role, the Youth Outreach Coordinator.  In this position she plans and implements all the YRC's street outreach efforts and is the primary responder to calls from Safe Place sites.

When Jordan is not at work she likes to keep busy.  She loves music and will go almost anywhere for a good concert. She is an avid runner and yogi with an obsession for true crime. On the weekends you can find her road tripping to local destinations like Asheville and Atlanta or hanging out at her favorite Greenville spot, Hampton Station.

Donor Spotlight:
Hollingsworth Funds

Pendleton Place would like to extend our appreciation for the continued partnership with Hollingsworth Funds, and specifically their support and funding for our Assessment Center.  Not only does Hollingsworth Funds provide grant funding for many local organizations but they are an important strategic partner. Their focus on long-term systems change, collaborative efforts, and equity are helping to bring positive and long-lasting change to our Greenville Community.

Thank you Hollingsworth Funds!
Volunteers Needed!

While COVID may still be preventing many of our usual volunteer efforts, we are excited to share that we are ready to have volunteers back in our building in small numbers.  Masks are required and safety for volunteers, staff, and clients will remain a priority!

At this time we have an immediate need for weekly/regular support for high school tutors for Smith House on M/W/F.

If you are interested in learning more about this or other volunteer opportunities, please contact Blakeley Yandle at [email protected]
