Reporting an Absence
If your child will be absent in-person or online, please call the school office at 740-833-1450 to report their absence.

The SafeArrival Absence Reporting System has been disabled until further notice.

2:30pm: 5th grade / Cohort A Clap out 

Last Day of School for Cohort A Students

May 26th: Online Academy 5th grade Clap out - Drive through in the Carlisle Bus Loop begins at 3:15pm


May 27:
2:30pm: 5th grade / Cohort B Clap out 

Last Day of School for Cohort B and Online Academy Students

Parents attending Cohort A & Cohort B clap outs may park in the McDonalds parking lot and socially distance with a mask on the Carlisle playground.  5th graders will be brought out at 2:30 (weather permitting)

  • Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS you must opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message.  The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file.  If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Carlisle office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file

Community Resources and Opportunities

Delaware City Schools, in partnership with community organizations, wants to keep families aware of opportunities for students and families outside of the schools.  The following information is provided by community organizations and questions should be addressed to the respective organization. 

Recently added resources & opportunities include:
  • Summer Garden Club at Unity Community Center
  • Summer Poetry Club for grades 6-12 at Unity Community Center
  • Youth Summer Employment Opportunities
  • Pathways to Hope Rent and Mortgage Assistance for families
  • OWU Girls summer basketball camps
