CIF Announces Modified Sport Schedule for 2020-2021 School Year
Dear Serra Community,
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) announced today that education-based athletics for the 2020-2021 school year will begin with a modified season sport schedule. Today's announcementstated that most section start dates will commence in December 2020 or January 2021.
In light of this information, I wanted to update our community on our next steps. Serra High School will be working with the Central Coast Section (CCS) and the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) to begin to determine our best path forward.
I will also be consulting with our coaches to evaluate potential strength and conditioning sessions that we can host at Serra while abiding by the health orders issued by the state and San Mateo County.
I realize that there will be many questions that arise from the CIF decision. Please be patient. I will update our community as more information becomes available with regard to season dates and possible sport schedules.
