GVCO/GVFL Announces Flag Football for Kindergarten & 1st Grade GV Girls and Boys!
GVCO/GVFL will be once again offering a Flag Football program for Kindergarten & 1st grade Great Valley girls and boys!

K-1 Flag will be an introduction to football for most of the kids, focused on having fun and learning some fundamentals of the sport. GVFL is a volunteer run, community based program and GVCO strives get everyone involved to create a greater sense of community.

With all of the programming that we have been offering during the Covid-19 pandemic, GVCO has gone to great lengths to provide safe and healthy environments for the kids/families to participate. Please see GVCO's COVID Response guidelines & protocols.

We will be providing additional program specific protocols specifically for flag football focused on social distancing, screening, disinfecting equipment, face mask usage while on site, etc for coaches, parents, referees, staff and players.

Practices (Friday evenings thru mid October) and games (Saturday mornings thru early November) will begin Friday, September 18th and end on Saturday, November 7th. Proposed 7 practice and 7 game schedule at GVCO's practice field space at 51 N.Bacton Hill Rd.

Registration fee for the program will be $135.00. The only necessary equipment each player must have is a mouth guard. GVFL will provide a game jersey, flag belt and flags.

New! Announcing the expansion of GVFL Flag Football!!
GVCO/GVFL is working to bring new Flag Football leagues for high school boys and girls.
We are looking to expand our recreational youth football program to provide the Great Valley community with an opportunity to actively participate in enjoyable football programs while also building a sense of community.

Thanks to all of the girls and boys 3/4 and 5/6 who braved the summer heat to bring GVBL summer basketball back! Congratulations to the division winners!

Thanks again to Mike Chain and the Desmond for letting us use their basketball court for the games and the shade for the parents!!

GV Crew News
  • Welcome New Coach-David Florio!!
  • Coaches Emily and Lindsay are staying on as assistant coaches
  • Crew kicked off Fall training with 21 rowers for the season. Land workouts have begun at CrossFit Inspire, focusing on getting rowers fit and ready to get in the boats. We plan to move to the boathouse and on the water around the third week of September.

Project Update
New Field Space!
The playing field, beachers and equipment shed have taken shape at the new GVCO Community Center property at 51 N Bacton Hill.

We are working diligently to create some parking areas so outdoor programming can begin this fall!
