Make Winter Holiday Celebrations Safer

The CDC shares that celebrating virtually or with the people you live with is the safest choice this winter. They have some guidance if you do gather with people who don't live with you, reminding everyone that gatherings and activities held outdoors are safer than indoor gatherings. Here are some additional things you can do to keep you and your loved ones safe:
  • Wear a mask indoors and outdoors
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from others who do not live with you
  • Avoid crowded, poorly ventilated indoor spaces
  • Wash your hands
  • Get a flu shot as soon as possible
Wishing you and your families a wonderful and safe holiday.

The new Summit illness policy has recently changed based on the new Department of Health guidelines.

If a parent, sibling, or other household contact of a student is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, the student must stay home and quarantine for 14 days or until a negative COVID-19 test is provided for the parent, sibling, or household contact.

Again, students who are family members or household contacts of an individual with COVID-19 symptoms should quarantine for 14 days or until the ill individual tests negative for COVID-19.
