Neighborhood Spotlight

Impressed by the many murals in the neighborhood, McCoy's Firehouse Bar and Grill was inspired to do something that would honor first responders who have been on the frontline of this pandemic. "First responders are there when sirens sound and lights flash, tending to the sick and nursing the injured back to health." said Chrystal McCoy who runs the establishment.

McCoy's then reached out to the Pioneer Square Residents Council with the idea of a roof top message and connected with Pioneer Square resident and artist Mr Eido, to craft the roof top affirmation, “Thank You 1 st  Responders” with big heart.

"McCoy’s Firehouse honors our first responders every day. In unusual and troubled times, it is first responders that bring safety and assurance. We just wanted to say 'Thank You' ."
