THE DAYS OF NOAH
The disciples of Jesus wanted to know what signs would be given as to his return. Matthew 24 has a full discourse on this, but verse 36-37 gives us some clues to be looking for. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Why will only the Father (God) know? Perhaps this will give you some insight. In Jewish customs when there was a marriage, the espoused bride waits at her home until her betrothed comes to get her and take her back to the Father’s house. The father alone tells the son when to do this. Since Jesus is coming back for his bride, the church, He is the betrothed, and the Father alone will tell him when to come.
We get some clues from verse 37. We must consider from this verse what it was like in the days of Noah. During that time, God saw the wickedness of man that every imagination of the thoughts of mankind’s heart was evil continually. (Genesis 6:5.)
The earth was corrupt and full of violence (Genesis 6:11). Then an ark was built. It took a long time for it to be built, and then to gather the animals. Since there had never been such a thing as an ark, I am sure that there was a lot of curiosity among those that were there. Perhaps things were said like, “We are building this ark to escape a flood coming.” Their reaction must have been mockery. They may have said, “What is a flood? There has never been a flood before.” Or they may have told Noah that he was crazy. One thing for sure is they didn’t heed his warning.
For many years, this ministry has put out a warning to be prepared for hard times, disasters, earthquakes, plagues and more. Most shrugged it off, and some even said, “People have been saying this for years, but nothing has happened.” Yet, sure enough earthquakes have increased, and natural disasters have been happening with hurricanes and tsunamis. Then Covid hit. This is definitely a demonic plague that has set the world up for a one world government. Yet, many have not turned to God and have mocked those that have put out a warning.
Are we in the days of Noah? Absolutely. There was perversion in the days of Noah that made God decide to destroy everything through the flood. Sin was rampant, just like it is now. Evil was called good and good called evil, just like it is now.
How much time do we have left? That is up to the Father. When He tells Jesus to come get his bride it will be too late for those that mocked and chose to go the way of sin instead of coming to Christ. It could happen any day that the ark door of salvation is shut. Then it will be too late. As a Christian it is everyone’s responsibility to tell the lost the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray that you do this and get as many into the ark as you can before that door shuts.
