Book Focus: Reunion
"Reunion" is a short story which launched from another variant in the "Walked in on..." series of plot bunnies I've mentioned in other issues of this newsletter. In this case, it's "Dad walks in on his daughters."

I made two decisions to make the plot a bit different. First,I decided not to start the story with the "walk in" incident, but to have it be in the middle. Second, I decided to make Karen a step-daughter, who was already intimate with Tom, before his biological daughter Sarah returns home from having been abducted as a child, which is the reunion of the title. This way, the sex between the step-sisters isn't incestuous until Tom discovers them together and has to decide whether to join in (and if you don't already know what his choice is going to be, you haven't read enough of my books). That makes it a mirror image of the scenario in "Rumors", where the son walks in on his mother and half-sister, who aren't related to each other.

For a change, I managed to resist the temptation to throw every last character in the story into bed together, keeping this just a short story. Like it, this will be a short newsletter, as there's not much more to say about the story.

For those in the U.S., have a happy and safe Labor Day! I'm back to writing my work-in-progress (Package Deal), which doesn't have a "walk in on" scene, at all!
