"Building Blocks"
Reverend Jaimie Dingus
10:45 AM, Sunday, March 13
Renewing our faith looks like going back to the basics, the building blocks that make us who we are. What do we believe? What do we call sacred? What are we called to do in the world? What does our mission require of us?

UUCH COVID Policy Update
The UUCH Board has been monitoring the COVID risk levels in our area and observing the case numbers drop significantly. Optimistically, we are anticipating that we may be able to ease some of our restrictions in our COVID policy soon. Currently, CDC recommendations have relaxed for indoor mask-wearing when an area has reached a medium or low-risk level. Madison County is currently still at a high-risk level, and as long as that is so, we will remain vigilant in maintaining a safe space for worship and gathering and require masks in the building. However, when the risk level reaches medium and low risk, we will adjust accordingly. The updated policy presents the new guidelines for each risk level. The Board wants all the congregation to join us in joyfully looking forward to the new easing of restrictions as we reach these lower risks levels. We will keep you posted as the risk levels change.

Unmasking Our Potential!
The 2022 UUCH Annual Budget Drive (ABD) has begun with the theme of “Unmasking Our Potential”.
The ABD is the time of year when we encourage all of our members and friends to make a financial commitment to this church for the next church year which begins on July 1st.
The ABD Team feels that this is a time of opportunity for us and we are excited about our potential as a church and as a community. As we reunite our church community this year, we look forward to revitalizing our Children’s and Youth Religious Education program, engaging with our community on social justice projects, improving our worship technology, and more!
You should have recently received in the mail an ABD packet with a cover letter, ABD brochure, your individualized pledge form, an Auto-Pay Form, a Time & Talent Survey, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope for returning the forms. Please review all of this information as you consider your financial pledge for the upcoming church year beginning in July. If you didn't receive a packet in the mail and would like to make a pledge, please call the church office.
I encourage you to think about how the UUCH community has enriched your life in the past, what it means to you today, and how it has the potential to enrich your future. Think about what you want UUCH to mean in the Huntsville community and North Alabama. Then, think about the financial commitment that you are willing to make those dreams come true. Together, we have the potential to create the church of our dreams. Your support, my support, all of our support together is what makes current and future programming possible at the church.
Whether you are a long-time member or someone who only recently started coming to UUCH, your support is the key to all the great things UUCH can accomplish. The Pledge form you fill out and return to the church, along with the Pledge forms from everyone else, will be the basis for creating the annual operating budget for the 2022-2023 church year that starts in July.
The 2022 ABD Team (Ed Bernstein, Brad Korb, and Tim Miller) will be staffing a table in the Fellowship Hall after the Sunday services beginning this Sunday. If you have any questions, need additional forms, or would like to return your pledge form in person, we’ll be there to assist you!
Thank you for your support of UUCH!
Brad Korb, 2022 ABD Chair

Alabama Arise Untax Grocery Rally
UUCH is a member congregation of Alabama Arise. Please join us in Montgomery on Tuesday, March 15, from 11:45 to 1:00 on the State House steps. This is a rally to support removing the 4% sales tax on groceries in Alabama.
If it is raining, we will meet inside in Room 206. Masks are requested both inside and out. If you get there early or can stay late you could see your State representatives.
A sack lunch will be provided for those of us attending the Rally. Perhaps we can arrange to carpool. For more info contact Brad Korb or Gail Wiliams.

UUCH Fellowship Mini-Meet
You have a chance to get in on the ground floor for the first UUCH Fellowship Mini-Meet!
What's that? Be one of the 7 people who sign up to attend at Cam Scales' home on March 25 @ 6:00 pm and find out. What a great way to get to know your fellow UUs! Our Mini-Meet will be a cottage dinner, pot-luck style with a twist*.
What to bring? Sign up with your name and email (one slot per guest) and Cam will work this out. She will provide the main dish (plus coffee/tea/beverages) and coordinate with guests about sides, dessert, bread, and wine. Since we are such a small group, we can make every effort to accommodate food allergies, preferences, and requirements (i.e. vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, likes/dislikes, or everything chocolate). Well, maybe the chocolate party will be next time. Please state any preferences in the comments in SignUpGenius.
Please sign up for one of the seven slots available. If your party has more than one person, please list them individually. And make sure you provide your contact address so Cam coordinate with you.
Sign up by clicking the button below.
We can't wait to see you!
* To ensure the safety of all participants, you must be vaxed and boosted. Individual servings may not be practical for what you choose to bring. We discussed with the UUCH Leadership and determined that a single server for all food and drinks is an acceptable alternative.
