MEETING OUR MUSLIM NEIGHBORS

As Christians, we are called to extend hospitality and friendship to our neighbors and to share our faith. But how can we do it confidently and effectively? With so many different cultures and religions, it can be intimidating to even start a conversation.

Come learn from our friend Mike, a minister in Indonesia. Together we will learn about Islam, how to befriend our Muslim neighbors, and how to share our faith with them.

CAMP WONDER: SIGN UP TODAY!
AGES 3 TO 5 | THREE CAMPS AVAILABLE

At Camp Wonder, preschoolers will experience a camp packed with excitement, discovery, adventure, and FUN! We have three different sessions planned, all full of hands-on experiences to expand your child's natural curiosity. You are welcome to sign up for one, two, or all three camps! WHAT TO EXPECT

  • The cost  is $100 per child, per camp session.
  • Each child will receive a Camp Wonder t-shirt.
  • Children must be ages 3 to 5 as of 05/01/2021 (who have not yet attended kindergarten) and must be potty-trained.
  • Limited space is available, and reservations will be required. 
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
  • Check-in starts promptly at 8:50 am.
  • Check-out is at 12 noon.
CURRENT COVID SAFETY MEASURES
  • Masks are optional for everyone.
  • Temperatures will be taken for all those entering the building: staff and children. 
  • Only those with temperature less than 100° Fahrenheit will be allowed to enter.
HELP US SACK SUMMER HUNGER!
SATURDAYS BEGINNING JUNE 5 | 9:00 TO 11:00 AM
 
Volunteer every Saturday morning this summer, from June 5 through July 31, at VRBC from 9:00 to 11:00 am to assemble and deliver weekly nutritious food sacks for Valley Ranch and Coppell families in need.
 
On the final Saturday, August 7, we will deliver backpacks with school supplies, and pray for the children as they prepare to return back to school.
 
SERVE OPPORTUNITY: This is a great serve opportunity for everyone, including Grow Groups, families with young children, and students. It is also a wonderful opportunity to invite your non-Christian friends to serve alongside you, so they can see God's love in action.

MEALS WITH A MISSION
JUNE 12 | 9:00 AM TO 2:00 PM

Serving our community is part of VRBC's DNA, and one of our favorite ways to do that is through cooking! One of our newest ministries, "Meals with a Mission," does just that.

Every quarter, VRBC volunteers prepare several hundred meals right here in the VRBC kitchen to distribute to families in need in our community. 

There are a variety of serve opportunities available--take a look here and find the one that suits you best. We would love to have you serving right along with us! Meal distribution is a contactless, drive-through process.

SUMMER GROW GROUPS
REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Grow Groups are groups of 10 to 20 people who meet together each week to grow to be more like Jesus. Joining a group is the BEST way to get connected at VRBC! For more info, check out our FAQ or email Pastor John at jhewlett@vrbc.net. The summer session will run from June 6 through July 15. Click here to get signed up. Childcare is available for groups meeting on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
COMMUNION
THIS SUNDAY | MAY 30 | 9:30 AM

During our worship service this Sunday, May 30, we will be celebrating Communion. To participate at home, you'll need to have just a couple of things on hand: bread or crackers and grape juice or water. 
WOMEN'S SUMMER BIBLE STUDY
VRBC | JUNE 9, JULY 14, AUGUST 11 | 6:00 TO 7:30 PM
 
Join us this summer as we gather at VRBC for a study of three special women of the Bible. Hear stories of hope and redemption as we discuss Rahab, Mary Magdalene, and the Woman at the Well. We'll meet one Wednesday a month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and will focus on a different woman each evening. We'll also share a meal and enjoy lots of fellowship and conversation. There is no cost to attend but please click here to get signed up. Childcare is available for children ages 6 months through fifth grade, by request.
