ACA ARTIST AWARD


Artist Award Application DEADLINE EXTENDED to Thursday, October 1

The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County has extended the Artist Award Application Deadline to Thursday, October 1, 2020 for the Artist Awards, in support of Newport County artists and art projects that benefit our community.

Artist Awards of up to $500 support arts projects throughout Newport County. Through these awards, ACA champions exciting and interesting arts activities and events presented in and for the Newport County community.

Artists of all backgrounds, identities, and artistic disciplines-including visual arts (illustration, graphic design, multimedia), performing arts (dance, music, theatre), literary arts (creative writing, poetry), and any other traditional or emerging field-residing in and/or offering artistic programs to any of the six Newport County communities (Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Tiverton) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Hope Tree Art Exhibition 2020 Now On View


Newport Health Equity Zone's Arts & Culture Working Group Announces Opening of the Hope Tree Art Exhibition 2020

Exhibition will be on view in Miantonomi Park
August 15 - October 15, 2020

The Hope Tree Art Exhibition is an exhibition of artworks made by and for the North End communities, that is on view in Miantonomi Park from August 15 - October 15, 2020.  The Arts & Culture Working Group of the Newport Health Equity Zone invited individuals, families, groups and organizations who are based, live or work in the North End to participate by creating an artwork to be on display in the Park this summer and fall.

In Celebration of the Jamestown Arts Center's 10th Anniversary

The Outdoor Arts Experience (OAE) provides a publicly accessible example of extraordinary arts brought to our community through outdoor installations and related arts experiences. In celebration of the JAC's 10th anniversary, the project expresses the inclusive, embracing message that art is for everyone, the JAC is art for our community and, everyone is welcome to participate.
