Northwest ISD's newsletter for families and the community
March 9, 2022
Spring break begins March 14
All Northwest ISD students and staff will have spring break from Monday, March 14, to Friday, March 18, while students will also have an additional day off.

Monday, March 21, will serve as a professional development day, meaning staff will return on this day while students will not. As a reminder, because of recent calendar changes, the Friday before spring break, March 11, is now a full day of school and not a half-day. Additionally, Tuesday, March 22, is now a regular school day instead of a professional development day, meaning students will attend classes on this day.

Among the topics Dr. Warren answered, based on questions from Northwest High School students, were Northwest High School's expansion, its possible move to 6A after the expansion, whether off-campus lunch would be considered and graduation-related inquiries.

How do I submit an absence for my student?
Northwest ISD's updated campus websites provide an easy and efficient way to report student absences. Each website has a Report an Absence button — located on the right-hand navigation bar — which provides families and caregivers with detailed reporting directions and attendance clerk information.

If you have an absence to report, please visit the district website, search for your student's school under the Our Schools tab and navigate to the Report an Absence button.
