New E-Scooter/E-Bike Share
Partnership for 2021!
The City of Fort Collins and CSU are excited to announce that we have selected Spin as our micromobility partner for the next iteration of our e-scooter/e-bike share program!
As a leader in stainable micromobility transportation, Spin brings a wealth of experience and expertise along with innovative ideas such as bringing back a version of the much loved Bike Library, integrating the program app with the Transfort app, and partnering with community stakeholders to implement an intersection treatment for all to enjoy! Spin, the City and CSU will be working closely with community members and community organizations in planning the launch this Spring and Summer, and throughout the program to make sure the program is accessible for and enjoyed by all!
Founded and based in California, Spin is a personal-mobility company that seeks to help cities and campuses reduce their dependence on cars by offering an affordable, accessible, and sustainable form of personal transportation. As a part of Ford Mobility, its mission is to drive human progress through freedom of movement. Spin currently operates micromobility programs in more than 80 cities and campuses across the US and Europe.
The City and CSU are excited to bring a combined e-bike and e-scooter share to the community and could not be more pleased about this upcoming partnership! Keep an eye out for more updates as the program develops. Program information will be available later this spring here.

Welcome, Cortney Geary,
FC Moves’ New Active Modes Manager
Please join us in welcoming Cortney Geary to the FC Moves team! Cortney is the “new Tessa” and her work will focus on pedestrian and bicycle planning and project implementation. Cortney comes to us from the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She has been featured as a “changemaker” in the book Rethinking Streets for Bikes for her work there.
Cortney is eager to apply best practices she learned while interning with a Dutch transportation consulting firm in the Netherlands to Fort Collins. If you have a question or just want to say hello, you can reach out to Cortney at cgeary@fcgov.com.

Have You Noticed Our New
Handle on Social Media?
Earlier this month, we updated our social media handles to better reflect the work our whole department does. FC Moves, the parent department of the former FC Bikes, focuses on all types of transportation. Our department includes Safe Routes to School, a program focused on teaching youth safe walking and bicycling practices; we also manage our scooter and bike-share programs, plan for future transit and bike/ped infrastructure; and plan programs to encourage a shift to sustainable transportation modes.
We’ll continue to do great things for bicycling, and, we will start doing great things for all other sustainable and active modes!

New FC Moves Skills Equipment
FC Moves has recently acquired a set of portable, wooden ramps and boxes that serve as a balance skills course for youth or adults. This is great for learning to ride with confidence and precision. Our set has widths of 8, 12, and 18 inches to serve various skills levels, including double the number of 12-inch pieces to accommodate a higher number of riders. Watch for this new gear at future events!

North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization Seeking Applications for a Community Advisory Committee
The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) is piloting a Community Advisory Committee over the next year. The goal is to get more people involved in the regional transportation planning process and implement some of the recommended strategies in the Environmental Justice (EJ) Plan.
The NFRMPO is hoping to find a diverse group of community members from across Northern Colorado who do not already serve on an NFRMPO committee. The Community Advisory Committee members will advise NFRMPO staff throughout the development of plans, projects, and programs and make recommendations that NFRMPO staff carry forward to various committees.
