Today’s pork industry is facing an ever-growing set of challenges. Labor, environmental activists, animal rights activists, public policy and courtroom challenges… the list goes on.
These challenges aren’t going away. And we are going to need leaders in the years and decades to come to help our industry navigate these challenges.
To help us accomplish that mission, the North Carolina Pork Council is pleased to announce the 2022 Pork Leadership Carolina (PLC) program. This program is designed to work with a select group of hog farmers, allied industry partners and others who have a keen interest in the pork industry and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities our industry will encounter in the future.
The 2022 PLC will include three sessions: April 26 & 27, June 15 and July 13-14. Each session will focus on a different set of challenges and opportunities. All lodging and meal expenses will be covered.
Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to complete the PLC application on our website by Friday, March 25. Applications will be reviewed, and participants announced by Friday, April 1.
This will not be an annual program so don’t put this off until next year!
