LCUL, Louisiana Foundation Working Around the Clock with CUs Affected by Hurricane Laura; Donations Being Accepted
LCUL has been working around the clock since Hurricane Laura made landfall last week to check the status of our credit unions and their employees.

Likewise, the Louisiana Foundation and Shared Branching Network have been in overdrive, ensuring displaced employees are receiving emergency quick cash grants and that members know where to go to access their money.

We want to remind credit unions of the resources made available:

Assistance for Employees
The Louisiana CU Foundation has enabled the Emergency Quick Cash Grants for credit union employees that are displaced or incurring extraordinary expenses caused by the storm.
The CEO of the credit union or a member of the credit union's executive management team are asked to submit the listing to [email protected].

Assistance for Small Credit Unions
As credit unions continue to assess the damages from Hurricane Laura, the Louisiana Credit Union Foundation is implementing a new program to assist credit unions through this difficult time. Grants up to $1,500 are available to help small credit unions (up to $25 million in assets) to offset unexpected expenses.

Below is a link regarding assistance the Louisiana Credit Union Foundation is offering at this time. Here, you can access the grant application form, report branch closures, and more.
