Dear BPI Families,

First of all, thank you to everyone for your efforts in minimizing the spread of COVID in our workplace. Recently, the pandemic seems to be moving in a positive direction, and we are hopeful that the trend will continue. In accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, we have decided to begin relaxing certain COVID-19 masking protocols.

Effective immediately, BPI is revising its policy regarding face coverings in the workplace to align with applicable laws and guidance. All employees, regardless of vaccination status, will no longer be required to wear masks except for certain situations (post-exposure, post-isolation, outbreak, showing symptoms, etc.).

While we encourage our staff to continue to wear masks at work, this will no longer be a requirement during periods of low transmission in your clinic's county. Employees and families are expected to be respectful of all coworkers and families who are required, or choose, to wear a face covering, and to those that choose not to wear a face covering.

If a community location requires a mask to be worn, staff should conform to that community location’s requirements. Similarly, upon entry into a client’s home, staff will inquire if the parents/caregivers want a mask worn. If parents/caregivers want a mask worn, staff will honor their wishes.

Transmission levels will be checked regularly for each area by the corporate office. Should transmission levels increase, your clinic will be notified with the applicable guidance provided by the CDC and any other state or local protocols.

There have been no policy changes in regard to reporting symptoms and staying home while sick. If our staff should develop COVID-like symptoms, experience a direct exposure, or test positive for COVID. All other covid mitigation procedures, including cleaning protocols and health screenings, are still in effect.

As the pandemic continues to evolve, BPI may amend this policy at any time in accordance with applicable law and guidance.

Have a great day,

Brad Davis
