Bus Route Information Available Online
Bus Transportation Health and Safety Measures
  • Bus drivers will be trained in COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Masks MUST be worn at all times while on buses.
  • Assigned seats to maintain proper social distancing.
  • Bus riders will be encouraged to sit apart from one another and will be required to sit facing the front of the bus and keep their hands to themselves.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available on all buses and is to be used by students when exiting the bus.
  • Seats, handles, and high-touch areas will be disinfected after every trip per TEA guidelines, utilizing CDC-approved disinfectant through Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayers.
  • When possible, bus windows will be opened to allow outside air to circulate in the bus.
  • Additional routes to accommodate fewer students being allowed per bus when applicable.

District Growth Continues, Bond Election Called for November
The May 2020 bond election, which was postponed due to the public health crisis, will now be presented to voters in November.

The bond proposal is designed to address growth, aging facilities, technology, and student programs.
NISD Stadium Capacity Set at 50%, Varsity Football Tickets will be Available Online
NISD Stadium protocols have been adjusted to reflect social distancing guidelines at all district football games. Masks will be required, and stadium capacity will be capped at 50 percent.

Ticket sales for varsity football games will begin each game week on Monday at 8 a.m. for families of student performers (football, band, cheer, drill, guard). Parents of student performers will have an opportunity to purchase their tickets online before tickets are sold to the general public.

Games will be streamed online for the cost of a general admission ticket. Additional information and links will be sent out through weekly NISD Athletic e-mails. For questions regarding NISD Stadium protocols, ticket sales and game streaming please visit the NISD Athletics Ticket Information page.

  • Seating will be available on every other row.
  • Spectators should sit with members of their household only.
ONLINE TICKET SALES FOR VARSITY FOOTBALL GAMES

For Performers Families (football, band, cheer, drill, guard)
  • Tickets will be available to purchase online from 8 a.m. Monday until 12 p.m. Tuesday.
  • Limited to 2 tickets per performer.

For General Public
  • Tickets will be available to purchase from 12 p.m. Tuesday until 12 p.m. on game day.

BOX OFFICE TICKET SALES
  • If games are not sold out following online ticket sales, tickets will be available at the ticket booth on game days beginning at 5:30 p.m.


Additional information for middle school football, subvarsity football, and volleyball will be communicated next week.
No School Monday, September 7
In observance of Labor Day, all NISD campuses and the NISD Administration Building will be closed Monday, September 7, 2020. The district will resume classes on Tuesday, September 8.
