MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING

Thanksgiving is that special time of year to pause and consider all we have to be grateful for every day. Within the City of Nampa, a couple of recent things occurred for which I am thankful:

Nampa School District's Advanced Photography class brought new photos of outdoor images to hang at Nampa City Hall. Thank you to the students and their teacher, Mr. Terrell Moffett, for sharing your talent with us, and please enjoy them the next time you visit Nampa City Hall.

Thanks to the help of 1,800 volunteers, Rake Up Nampa volunteers raked nearly 150 yards throughout our community last weekend. Also, in partnership with the volunteer teams, Just Serve Nampa and the Boy Scouts of America, 25,000 pounds of food was collected this year, which will be given to local pantries. THANK YOU!

As we turn our attention to Thanksgiving next week, let’s all strive to reflect on the many blessings we have. I am thankful for my family, the hard-working employees within the city and the many amazing community members and businesses in Nampa. May you be blessed this Thanksgiving!

-Mayor Debbie Kling

PS I hope to see you next Saturday, November 26 for our official tree lighting ceremony in Downtown Nampa! The program begins at 5:15 p.m. and the tree lights come on at 6 p.m.! See more information below.

FINAL REMINDER: We officially switch to our new utility billing system MONDAY!

The City of Nampa will officially switch to a new utility billing website for our customers on Monday, November 21, 2022. The existing utility payment system used is being phased out and an update is needed. The new electronic billing and payment portal costs less, provides additional options for customers and is more user-friendly.

Unfortunately, we are unable to copy customer debit/credit card information to the new system. Customers who currently have auto-payment set up on the utility billing website using a debit or credit card must enter payment information into the new customer website before November 21, 2022 to avoid late payments or future shut-offs.

In order for this to be a smooth transition for those who pay online, customers are asked to set up their new account before November 21 at https://nampa.billingdoc.net.

KINGS AND VICTORY PROGRESS

We're getting closer to the new roundabout at Kings and Victory being completed! Over the next two weeks, crews anticipate completing sidewalks, curb/gutter, and the patterned concrete within the splitter islands. Weather permitting, they anticipate being completed by mid-December.

For more information, please call (208) 465-2221 or email us.
