Peer Mentors Help Others Adjust to College Life The spring semester at Paradise Valley Community College has more peer-to-peer mentors than ever before. More students are choosing to reach out and help others adjust to college life and guide them through the hurdles a first-term student faces. PVCC Music Student Selected to Perform in Vienna, Austria Brandon Berg, a music major at Paradise Valley Community College, has been selected to perform with the 2020 Young Adult Honors Performance Series at Musikverein next June in Vienna, Austria. As a major in Percussion Performance and Composition, Brandon will play percussion with the Young Adult Honors Wind Ensemble, an honor limited to the highest-rated, 18-to-25-year-old instrumentalists from around the world.  Read more...

PVCC Student Receives Prestigious Governor's Art Award Congratulations to Alexis Fritz, a PVCC fine arts student whose oil painting, Agave Bloom, was selected as the cover artwork for the 39th Annual Governor’s Arts Awards program book and invitation. As a native Phoenician, Alexis said the desert landscape influences a lot of her work. Her painting was selected from submissions all over the state.  Read more...

Alumni Spotlight: Tom D'Ambrosio & Kyle Hollenbeck   Following the advice of his father, Tom D’Ambrosio pursued his undergraduate degree in route to his dream of becoming a chef. This pursuit started at PVCC and culminated in a business partnership with close friend and PVCC alumnus, Kyle Hollenbeck. They combined Tom’s expertise as a chef with Kyle’s math, business and marketing acumen to form Aioli Burgers.  Read more...

Come Support our Amazing Pumas Highlights! Indoor Track & Field - School Record Breakers!  Men's 4x400m relay team shattered the school record with an NJCAA qualifying time of 3:15.49.Women’s FR Yasmen Hatcher broke the 14-year-old school record in the 400m with an NJCAA qualifying time of 57.16. Women’s FR Daija Sample broke the 60m school record with a time of 7.87. Puma Men’s Golf  teed off the 2020 season at the Scottsdale CC tournament with a T2 team finish. Congratulations to Justin Terry on a T3 finish! Nice job by Mathew Casias who posted a day two 69 (-3). Puma Women’s Golf  teed off the 2020 season placing 2nd in the EMCC tournament! Congratulations to medalists, Sarah Kim and Amy Bockerstette! Alumnus, Mason Gavre  was recognized as Top Newcomer on Purdue Baseball team! Baseball, Softball, Track, Tennis, Golf - all of our spring sports are competing and would love for Puma Nation to come out and support!
