I am pleased to announce the hiring of Tara Montgomery as our school nurse. Tara graduated from the University of Virginia with a BSN. She is currently a Personal Health Nurse for Conifer Health and previously worked as a Registered Nurse on the Oncology/Medical Surgical Floor at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Tara comes to us with some amazing ideas for our new Health Clinic and I know she will be a great addition to our community. 
Town Hall Next Week

We are excited to announce that we will host a town hall on Wednesday, May 27th. Mr. Orlando will talk about our preliminary thoughts on reopening next year and discuss our plans going forward. Please register for the Town Hall here!
Virtual Graduation

We are excited to celebrate our 8th Grade students on May 29th at 3:30 PM. Mr. Orlando will make some live remarks followed by a video tribute to our graduating class. To enter the ceremony, please register for Graduation here !
GEM Math Tournament

Congratulations to Lisa Cang for earning the third place award in the Individual Paper-Pencil Section of the Girls Excelling in Math (GEM) Tournament!

Summer Send Off and Device Return, Week of June 15th

We are planning a day for students to come back to school individually and gather their belongings and return their device. Additionally, each family will receive a yearbook as a thank you for your flexibility, understanding, and support during this unprecedented time. Students will also receive their promotion certificates and possibly be able to take a quick walk through the new wing. This will be a highly structured event with safety protocols in place, including wearing masks. Please be on the lookout for the schedule via email next week.
Camp Invention Update

UPDATE: Camp Invention is going Virtual for 2020! All details on  Camp Invention Connect™ are below and we are still taking registrations. If you have already registered, you should have received an email detailing your options for this summer. Children in grades K-6 receive four exciting activity kits packed full of materials to get them outside and active as they explore concepts of flight, tackle environmental challenges, build the ultimate sports complex, design the next great invention and gain confidence as innovators and entrepreneurs! This flexible program reinvents distance learning — it can be screen-free and self-led, or it can be enhanced through online collaboration sessions with Coaches and fellow participants. The coed week begins on June 22, 2020 and an all-girls week begins on June 29,2020 with Amy Brudin serving as Lead Coach to offer the all-new 2020 curriculum, Elevate!
