Professional Development - January In-Service
The annual January In-Service day scheduled for January 18, 2021 will be virtual this year.

Jessica Minahan will provide the keynote presentation, Children with Anxiety Related and Oppositional Behavior.
Minahan is a licensed and board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA), author, special educator, and consultant to schools internationally. She specializes in training staff and creating behavior intervention plans for students who demonstrate explosive and unsafe behavior.

An integral piece of the ND Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant is the coaching support model. Literacy coaches address structural changes in comprehensive literacy instruction in order to have a lasting and sustainable impact on educators.

21st CCLC News - Access Live Virtual Lessons
NCEC 21st CCLC programs now have access to virtual lessons through the ConnectED Project funded through the ND Council on the Arts and the ND Afterschool Network.

Live lessons are streamed from 3:45-4:15 p.m. and are tailored to K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 grade levels. Live sessions are recorded for on-demand future use.

Student Supports - Virtual Career Fair Sessions Available On Demand
The NCEC Fall Career Fair went virtual this year. Professionals from eleven careers ranging from Photography to Medical Scientist presented live on Zoom. The presentations were recorded for on-demand viewing for those who could not attend on the scheduled date.
