Nelson, Romero Join Children's Music Ministries |
St. Martin’s welcomes two familiar faces in new roles this summer. Carole Nelson will join us in a part-time role as Coordinator of Children’s Music Ministries effective July 19. Reporting to David Henning, Director of Music and Parish Organist, she will lead children from kindergarten through 12th grade as they grow into the full stature of Christ through music. She is a member of the Parish Choir. Her accomplishments are many including serving as the artistic director of the Houston Boychoir and previously on the voice faculty of Houston’s High School for the Performing Arts.

Angel Romero, Administrative Assistant for Music, will also be our Children’s Choir Assistant beginning Aug. 30. He will help teach our children’s choirs and coordinate performances. He holds a master’s degree in music from Yale University and a bachelor’s in vocal performance from Houston Baptist University. His professional experience includes teaching children’s voice and piano at Vivaldi Music Academy. A tenor, he has sung with the Pittsburgh (Penn.) Opera
