Batavia Chamber of Commerce Announces Community Flag Contest


The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a Community Flag Design Contest that is open to all Batavians. The contest will engage the citizens to design a flag that represents their love for Batavia.


The contest begins November 1st and runs through March 1, 2023. The winning design will be announced on April 1, 2023. The committee reserves the right to make changes to winning design. Congratulations to K. Hollis Jewelers, Boutique & Wine Bar!

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce was excited to celebrate the grand opening for K. Hollis Jewelers, Boutique & Wine Bar with a multi-chamber ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 10. The nearly 20-year journey for K. Hollis Jewelers entered its next chapter when they moved into their new location at 2030 W. Main St. in Batavia and became K. Hollis Jewelers, Boutique & Wine Bar. Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with owners Karen and Rob Hollis. 


From humble beginnings in 1996 creating jewelry on her dining room table, Karen Hollis has built a destination jewelry store, which now includes an expanded wine bar and women’s boutique in the new 10,000 square foot space. K. Hollis Jewelers, Boutique & Wine Bar is a unique shopping destination for jewelry, engagement, apparel, gifts, jewelry repair and custom jewelry design. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays – Fridays, with Thursdays open until 7 p.m. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and it is closed on Sundays. More information about K. The Batavia Chamber of Commerce was excited to celebrate the five-year anniversary for Stronger Therapeutic Counseling Services with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11 at their Batavia office located at 201 Houston Street, Suite 5. Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with founder Kelly Jacobson and her team.


Stronger Therapeutic Counseling offers services to support the entire family. They believe that supporting families supports our businesses and communities and offers psychotherapy for tweens, teens, women, and families. They also provide educational tools and corporate services to enhance employee mental health, team culture, and connectedness when working remotely.
