Dear Lower and Middle School Families,

We are looking forward to what this year holds for all of us and are excited to reimagine a system that will allow us to offer the CASE program as safely as possible. We have had many questions about what the CASE program may look like and when it will potentially open. We are happy to announce that we will be able to open CASE fully for Lower School on Tuesday, September 8, and follow the hybrid schedule for Middle School by the following Monday, September 14.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer CASE on a drop-in basis due to ratio requirements. We will only be taking registrations for those who will enroll in FULL CASE for the full academic year. We do encourage families to have children return home at the end of the school day, if possible. We would like to offer this service to those in the greatest need and who must have extended care.

2020-21 CASE Program Details

  • CASE will have one enrollment option, FULL CASE, for the full academic year. Should a hybrid model for Lower School continue past September 8, the CASE structure will be reevaluated to accommodate the days students are on campus.

  • While the original pricing was set at $925/quarter for five days per week for 2020-21, there is potential for this pricing to change for the following reasons: if we stay in the hybrid model, if we increase on-campus days within the hybrid model, or if we were to need to go completely to online learning. In these circumstances, billing would be adjusted accordingly.

  • Lower-schoolers will be podded into grade groups, meaning they will be with students outside their daily classrooms but within their grade levels. Middle-schoolers will be in a combined group of Grades 6-8.

  • The variety of snack options will be very limited due to a reallocation of staffing and in an effort to limit touchpoints.

  • Each grade will have a maximum number so as not to exceed ratio requirements, which are the same as the school day.

  • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is very limited. In the event that more children register than we have spaces, a waitlist option will be available. We will then evaluate whether we can open further sections within each grade group. This will depend on numbers and hiring potential as well as our need to adhere to safety protocols.

We are so excited for the return of our students and want to support our families by making this transition as easy as possible. Please understand that we will be guided by local authorities and our school leadership, and that some or part of these plans may change as needed.
