John Brigham purchased the farm on Fitchburg Turnpike in the 1820s. The farm was a typical New England subsistence farm for several generations. The sixth generation, Jane Brigham Bailey and Charles (Chip) Poutasse, operate the farm and stand today, with a home farm of five acres and about 12 acres of rented land.
