By God's grace, CPI is continuing to serve in Guatemala this Summer. A team ministered in Fraijanes from June 3 - 9, and a team will serve in Jocotillo from June 24 - 30. We praise the Lord that even during this global pandemic, He has opened doors for our international healthcare ministry!

The photos shown here are from CPI's clinic in Fraijanes. Sixteen team members from the USA were joined by scores of Guatemalan physicians, church workers, and translators. One medical professional that joined the team was Dr. Edgar, a resident physician from Guatemala City. CPI's National Director Helmuth Marroquin asked Dr. Edgar to join our team, as our ministry is burdened to continue to expand our national physician network. CPI is grateful to Dr. Edgar and all the Guatemalan physicians serving with us to meet the needs of their fellow countrymen, both body and soul!

CPI continues to expand its optical outreach, incorporating state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and quality eyeglasses in the clinic's vision station. One young patient, Daniel, was in desperate need of eyeglasses, and by God's grace, our vision team was able to provide him with an exact match! And many other adult & elderly patients were fitted with reading glasses, allowing them once again to read, sew, and continue their occupational trades, providing much-needed financial resources for themselves, and their families.

The June clinic was the first for CPI's church partner in Fraijanes, and the church and its congregation were outstanding - inviting their community to the clinic, registering and escorting the 700 patients throughout the clinic stations, and staffing our Clinic of the Soul, where 135 men, women, and children made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ - to God be the glory - great things He has done!

CPI is excited to host its first clinic in Jocotillo, a large community south of Guatemala City, with a new church partner. Pray for the Holy Spirit to move and work in Jocotillo, for traveling mercies for our U.S. team, and for God's wisdom for all of our medical providers and Guatemalan church partners as they minister to patients.

Pray for our upcoming 5k Run/Walk - Run For Patients!

Our ministry is planning a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 28th at Warren County's Armco Park. It will be a fun time to get together, enjoy some competition and exercise, and learn more about our healthcare mission. Pray for hundreds to participate, both here in Warren County, and at parks and neighborhoods across the country. God willing, CPI plans to take a medical mission team to Thailand this coming November, but Covid-19 quarantines are still in place for international travelers. Also, Pastor Jay & Rochelle Orata and their church desire to conduct more eyeglass clinics, but some areas of northern Thailand are out of reach due to travel restrictions. Pray for God to continue to open doors for Pastor Jay and his church as they desire to share Jesus Christ with their Thai brethren, and see souls added to His Kingdom!
