Happy Holidays!
As another year draws to a close, I would like to wish everyone a great holiday season and a new year full of joy, health, and success. This very special time of the year gives us all a break from the hustle and bustle of our everyday working schedules. I hope you have time to enjoy the company of family and friends that is all too often missing for the rest of the year.
As I reflect on the year, I cherish the special moments and relationships with AIA Michigan members and friends. I would also like to take this time to thank everyone who helped make 2022 a successful year at AIA Michigan. Our board of directors, volunteers and staff continually amaze me with their generous gift of time. Associations only exist because of the passion, the support and the contributions of our members, volunteers, and staff. Thank you!
As 2023 approaches, we will continue our Vision of Advancing society through architecture and Mission to Champion the profession. Nurture our chapters. Build Michigan better.
Please mark your calendars for the following events:

APAC 2022 Year End Campaign
Thanks to all who have been very patient with us while we were trying to get our credit card service corrected for on line giving. We are now open for business, thank goodness.
Everyone can make a difference to close out this year! This is a reminder that APAC gives Michigan Architects a powerful bipartisan voice in Lansing. Your APAC dollars help ensure that the voice of our profession is heard by your state legislators. “This is your future practice.”
Goal:
Each AIA Michigan Member to contribute to MI APAC.
Realistic maybe not, but if we could get each member to contribute a minimum of $5.00 (the price of one latte or frappuccino at Starbucks), that would provide over $9,000.00 in
APAC funds that could be used to support our legislative issues and politicians who support architects and architecture. This year was an election year so our coffers are down and we now need to rebuild the fund.
Why is this important?
- Small contributions by each member can make a large impact and ensure we have a voice in Lansing and a profession in years to come.
- Ensure the practice of architecture remains relevant in a time when there appears to be multiple forces continuously working to diminish our impact on the built environment.
You make the choice!
Thank you,
Daniel La Pan, AIA
APAC Chair
