What's Up at North Allegheny School District

Week of November 14-18, 2022

Each week, we will share news from the District and from your student’s building.

  • Please click on your student’s building below to access their building-specific information.
  • Below the links to the building newsletters, you will find important information from the District.

Students across the District learned about the importance of Veterans Day through various programs and presentations. Thank you to our staff and guests for helping us teach our students about the significance of Veterans Day.

To those serving today and to those who have served in the past, we thank you!

Upcoming Student Survey

NASD is once again partnering with BrightBytes to learn more about our school’s climate and culture. The BrightBytes Whole Child solution has helped us evaluate our school environment, and this refresh will enable us to determine whether the changes we’re making have had an impact.

Students will take the survey in their buildings the week of November 14. All of your student's responses will remain anonymous to protect their privacy.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your building's principal.

Parent Engagement

Parent Engagement Committees

North Allegheny offers several opportunities to join key committees that help provide valuable feedback to the District. In June, NASD updated the process for selecting volunteers for school district committees. Anyone interested in participating in a committee had to fill out an application. Visit our website to view committee lists and contact information.

Arts

NA Middle School Musical: "Newsies JR."

Hot off the press, join NA Middle Schools for “Newsies JR.” Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, “Newsies JR.” features a Tony Award-winning score.

When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right.
