Devotional Thought By Rev. Maertz
|
John 14:3 I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
If you are like me, the thought has crossed your mind. “Any time, Lord; you can come back any time.” The longing to be with Jesus is natural for a Christian all the time, and it can intensify in challenging times.
Until our last day on this earth comes, in God’s perfect time, we know that we are still here because our Lord has work for us to do. And the promise of an eternal future with our Savior gives meaning to this life and confidence along the way. Until his promise becomes your reality, take heart!

As was shared on Wednesday, we are navigating our first confirmed case of COVID-19. We are working closely with the Department of Health to follow protocols related to contact tracing, etc. Some of our students are now in quarantine, and we are working to support them so they can keep up with their school work. Thank you for your prayers and patience as we work to ensure the health and wellbeing of our students and staff and keep our doors open.

Virtual Grandparents Day- September 25
|
This year, rather than gathering on campus for Grandparents Day, we are planning a virtual event which will give students the opportunity to connect with their grandparents by phone or video, and give grandparents a glimpse of life at GPL through a live stream presentation. While we will miss the face-to-face interaction, we also hope this format will make it possible for even more grandparents to participate. If we have an address for your grandparents, a letter was mailed to them last week.

Our Student Council is excited to host its second annual Trunk or Treat event on October 31. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to connect with and serve our community. To help us host another successful event, please consider donating unopened bags of Halloween candy. These can be dropped off in the GPL office at your convenience. Thank you in advance for considering supporting our Trunk or Treat event in this way.
