Dear Residents -

The Town has partnered with Oksana Hauser, a Rockland resident who originates from Ukraine, to set up donation boxes at Town Hall where items can be dropped off to help the people of Ukraine. A list of suggested items is included below and can be dropped off in the lobby by the Supervisor’s Office (during regular business hours) or by the Police Department (at any time) by 5:00 pm on March 9, 2022.

Like all of you, my heart goes out to the people of Ukraine who have been affected by the unprovoked attack, and to their family and friends abroad who are scared for their loved ones. Special thanks to Oksana for organizing the collection and coordinating the shipping to those in need. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated and will show our support for the people of Ukraine.

If you reside in the South Orangetown Central School District, there is an important election coming up on Tuesday, March 8th. The School District is seeking voter approval for the Capital Improvement Bond and there will be a special Board of Education election to fill the seat vacated by Christine Lee. For more information please click here and don’t forget to vote.

Have a wonderful weekend all, and be safe!

Respectfully,
Teresa M. Kenny
