I want to take a moment and give you a brief update of Mission of Mercy and thank you for all you do!
As you are aware, the impact of COVID-19 is devastating on individuals, families, industries, and of course our nonprofit community in the Coastal Bend. I want to personally thank you for your calls, emails, thoughts, and prayers for Mission of Mercy during this difficult time. We are praying for you as well. Like everyone, we must continue to implement social distancing, hand washing, working from home, etc. to help mitigate the situation of the Corona Virus while protecting the health of our staff, volunteers, patients, and community.
Our staff, nurses and some physicians continue to work at the Medical Center while seeing a limited number of patients at this time. Our medical team continues to work on patient medication requests, working with pharmacies, talking with patients, rescheduling appointments, etc. Our nurses are on call and available to address any concerns and issues our patients have by phone and teleconference. In addition, we are implementing strategies and procedures to prepare for increasing the number of patients appointments. We envision a tremendous increase in the number of patient appointments for our current patients and the need for new patient appointments. We pray that all of our dedicated volunteers return healthy and ready to assist again.
At Mission of Mercy we are still serving our patients and “Healing through Love.” God Bless You!

Meet Our Assistant Nursing Director...
|
|
Tina Kline, RN has been a nurse since 1973 when she received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas. She later received her Bachelor of Science in 1983 from Corpus Christi State University. For years she worked as a traveling nurse focusing on critical care and ER. She also worked at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi for Spohn which later turned into a family practice and even owned a coffee shop.
After Tina retired, she joined Mission of Mercy as a volunteer nurse. She had heard about Mission of Mercy from her friend Robin Dollinger, RN who is a volunteer. In October 2016, Tina was hired as the Assistant Nursing Director at Mission of Mercy. Her role is to assist our Nursing Director, triage patients, schedule volunteer nurses and manage patient files.
Tina loves seeing patients be successful when is come to their health and well being. "Seeing how they change physically and mentally because they feel better makes me happy" says Tina when asked what her favorite thing about working at Mission of Mercy is.
We are grateful to have such a giving and dedicated person to care for our patients.
