Love Your Neighbor
Looking for ways to share the love? Consider the following:

Connect with Someone New
We encourage you to make a special effort to do something in service to others. Check out the new Grace directory and surprise someone with a caring phone call, physically distanced visit, or send a note. You have beautiful gifts to share with our church family!

Donation Center to the North:
If you find that an organization is not accepting clothing and household at this time, consider looking to the north! Check out Share and Care in Hackensack (209 MN-371). Give them a call at (218) 675-5862 to check on donation times first.

Child-Sized Masks Requested:
The Minnesota Council of Churches Refugee Services is in need of child-sized masks for refugee families. Thanks to generous donors, the Minnesota Council of Churches Refugee Services doesn't currently need adult face masks. However, families who arrived with refugee status are in need of child-sized masks. If you are able to help sew and donate child-sized masks, please contact rsvolunteers@mnchurches.org to coordinate.
Staff Parish Relations Committee Volunteer Request
The Staff Parish Relations Committee is trying to establish a pool of volunteers who are willing to fill in at the church office, if needed. Our Administrative Assistant, Ann Hutchings, does a wonderful job, but she does occasionally get some time away! We are blessed to have our ever-faithful Doris Longnecker who has filled in for years, but would like to have a list available of additional names.

The church office is open 9-12, Monday-Friday. The duties could include mail pick-up, answering the telephone, checking the email, being a presence in the church building. Once we have our volunteers, we will ask Ann to hold a mini-training session so you are familiar with her process and know where to find anything you might need.

In regards to any COVID concerns, the church is deep-cleaned weekly, the office surfaces wiped down daily, mask wearing is required, hand sanitizer and spray disinfectant/paper towels are readily available for surface cleaning and a daily list of those entering the building is kept.

Please prayerfully consider if you are being called to serve Grace in this way. If you feel so called, please contact the church office at graceumc@tds.net or 218-568-5755.
Help Needed:
Sunday Morning Ushers
Ushers are needed as we continue in-person hybrid worship. If you are comfortable attending church and are willing to usher, please give Larry Johnson a call at (218) 963-3765. Thank you!
Outreach Ministry Team - Members Needed
Members are needed to join the Outreach Ministry Team. If you are interested in finding ways that we at Grace can reach out to our community during these different times, please let Peggy Johnson know at (218) 963-3765. Members who are already on the team and want to remain let her know, too.
September Mission:
Emma Norton
During the rest of the month of September our mission focus is Emma Norton of St. Paul. Emma Norton Services partners with women, children and families who are homeless and experiencing the challenges of mental and/or chemical disabilities. In providing women and children with the basic need of a safe, secure place to live, they can utilize and focus on supportive programs, life skills, services and opportunities available to accomplish their goals. Visit their website to learn more about this organization.
What to Expect on
Sunday Mornings
Please expect the following if you attend in-person worship on Sunday:
  • Pastor Jen will give the message and offer prayers live from the pulpit.
  • Scripture will be read live. Music will be pre-recorded.
  • People will enter and exit the building from the front door (under the canopy).
  • There will be no coffee or fellowship time indoors before or after worship.
  • The nursery will be closed. Children (preschool and older) will be invited to attend 'Kids Church' outside (weather dependent). If children prefer, they can sit in worship with their families.
  • Attendees will sit 6 feet from each family/couple/individual.
  • All in attendance are required to wear masks.
  • Sunday's worship will also still be available to view online.

If you plan to attend church and have not picked up your photo directory yet please do so now! Cross off your name on the master list. Continue notifying Ann in the office of any changes to your email or phone number.
