Share Your Vaccination Status by July 16
|
|
Students who decline to submit vaccine information or are not planning to get vaccinated must sign up by July 16 for fall weekly COVID testing through U-M's Community Sampling and Tracking Program. After July 16, students will still be able to switch out of testing once they've submitted their vaccination record.
We strongly encourage all students to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Studies show that the vaccines are safe and extremely effective at protecting you against COVID-19.

Your Public Health Community
|
|
Welcome to the School of Public Health community. We strive to sustain our culture of connection by practicing and promoting the following attitudes and behaviors:
Choose kindness. Always treat each other with consideration and respect, whether in person, on the phone, over email, on social media, or any other communication stream. Remember that your tone matters, as much as what you say.
Think the best. Assume we are all trying to do the right thing. Put yourself in the other person's shoes, even in difficult situations. Be flexible and patient with others.
Act in a supportive way. Encourage each other. Acknowledge each other's contributions, and lend a hand when others need help. Be inclusive, welcoming, and appreciative of differences.
Practice forgiveness. Even with our best efforts, humans are fallible and error-prone. When someone offends or hurts you, do your best to choose a forgiving attitude. If you offend or hurt someone else, apologize, and work to make things right.

Welcome from the President
"On beh alf of the Public Health Student Assembly (PHSA) and the student body, I would like to extend a huge congratulations and welcome to your new home at the University of Michigan School of Public Health! Your journey here is no small feat so please remember to celebrate your growth and achievements! With the monumental and catalytic events of the past year and beyond, our generation of skillful, creative, and empathetic public health leadership is needed more than ever. As your journey continues, please recognize that you do not have to travel this path alone, each interaction you have is an opportunity to develop a meaningful connection. To help make these connections, PHSA, as well as other SPH student organizations, are working diligently to ensure that you have the supportive community and environment you deserve. We have quite a few events in the works that will provide lifelong memories for each of you. I strongly encourage each of you to get involved so that you can maximize your time and experience here. No matter the size or context each of you has something critical to offer to the world. In your time here, I hope that you can either find and/or amplify your voice to advocate for positive change. Until we can connect in person, please feel free to reach out to me ( bcbond@umich.edu) or phsaboard@umich.edu if you have any questions or concerns."
Go Blue!
