After several delays, Senate Republicans and the White House are expected to release the details of their $1 trillion coronavirus relief proposal. The proposal will consist of a set of bills released separately by different Senators.
The proposal comes after weeks of negotiation between Congressional Republicans and the White House on the details of the package. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows were on Capitol Hill negotiating with Republican leaders as late as

. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) asked Republican leaders and the White House to meet with Democratic leaders within 30 minutes of releasing their proposal, according to Bloomberg Government.
The House was originally expected to leave Washington for the annual August recess on July 31. However, it is highly unlikely that compromise legislation will be negotiated by the end of the week. Bipartisan, bicameral talks are expected to extend well into next week (at least) as House and Senate leaders conference the $1 trillion GOP proposal with the $3.5 trillion House-passed HEROES Act. As negotiations have continued, the federal eviction moratorium expired last week and unemployment relief is set to expire this week.
