OUR PARISH MISSION
Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

Bridging the Gap

CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY IS GROWING!
We are excited to see more and more children showing up to Children's Chapel on Sunday mornings and there are daily conversations happening about "What's happening in the fall?" Families are ready to come back to church and build a strong foundation of faith for their children. Prayers are ALWAYS needed! But we also need those hands that pray to do God's work. We would love to have you join us as we grow our ministry...and have lots of fun along the way!

Sunday School Teachers: Our hope is to have teams that work together to alternate Sundays throughout the fall and spring semester to allow breathing room for families and volunteers. Curriculum, supplies, and everything you need is provided...all we need is you to help lead the way!
  • Godly Play - for PreK through 3rd Grade
  • Travel Through the Bible - 4th and 5th Grade

Sweet Spot Volunteers: We are trying something new this year and would like to offer ongoing opportunities for our older children (4th and 5th graders) to come to Christ Church after school for fellowship, scripture, and sweets! It would be really sweet to extend this to occasional opportunities to our younger children too! Can you help?

Nursery Workers: Is snuggling little ones something you love to do? We could use you during our Sunday morning schedule!

CFM Think Tank: The families of Christ Church have diverse needs and our goal is to recognize and meet as many of those needs as we can. To do that, we need you help to identify those needs (of your family and those you see), brainstorm ways to meet those needs (though curriculum, activities, and outreach), and put those great ideas in to action!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL ~ August 2-4 ~ 8AM-12PM
Sign up here now!!
From a whimsical lighthouse on an enchanted island, Explorers are guided by the Lighthouse Keeper and Beacon the Puffin on an exciting quest to find five mysterious Infinity Lanterns to help light their way. Using map coordinates from their Reference Book (the Bible), children discover clues to finding each lantern while learning how God's light shines in the lives of familiar Bible characters from Old and New Testament stories.
VBS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Vacation Bible School is HERE! VBS is packed with crafts, play, bible stories, science experiments, fun, new and old friends, music, more fun, and lots of life! This year's VBS is three days of energy, and we need your help to make it successful! We could use donations like toilet paper rolls, snacks, and decorations. We definitely need your help in the craft room, playing games in the rec room, leading groups, setting up decorations, and the list goes on! To sign up, please click here.

Youth (6th grade and up) are invited to register to be helpers in the various rooms and help lead explorer groups by filling out the "Adult Registration" via the link above. Adults (college age and up) interested in helping during VBS and in the weeks leading up, let us know how you would like to help and complete the "Volunteer Registration" via the link above. Childcare for preschool and infant age children is available for our volunteers.
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY CHAPEL
~ Sunday, July 18 ~
This past Sunday was awesome as we began the story of The Tree in Me and had Sarah Soule Webb painting an amazing tree and Aaron Carr leading us in yoga tree poses.

We will continue with the story of The Tree in Me this coming Sunday as the story ends with “The tree in me sees the tree in you.” This is a beautiful story of acceptance and love for others. The colorful and fun tree which Sarah painted can be seen in the Parish Hall. The children will try their hands at painting a tree this Sunday and Aaron will be back to help us perfect our tree poses.

A Historical Look at Schisms in the History of Christianity"
Led by Fr. Michael and Rev. Katie ~ Sundays, 9:30 AM

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CLASS:
Facing Fear with Discipleship
Sundays ~ 9:15 AM ~ Parish Hall
The final session of William Willimon's study, Fear of the Other, is a discussion of Jesus' parable of the "Good Samaritan." In his exposition Willimon writes, "It's a story about the strange God we didn't expect..." Join the conversation of thinking about one's self as the person left "half-dead" rather than the Samaritan. Participation can be in person in Room 31 of the Christian Education building or through Zoom. Dick Hooper and David Starling facilitate the class.
EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY NEWS
ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Office.
CARE IN COMMUNITY
Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. We continue to support one another, especially during this pandemic. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected right now, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
