When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. – Marcus Aurelius

Celebrate a new day at St. Francis by the Sea!
   From Fr. Brent
We have a celebration of new ministry planned for Sunday afternoon.  The Bishop will be here.  The choir has been hard at work.  Carlton even wrote a piece of music for the occasion.  The weather looks decent.  The picnic following is looking great.
And... I don’t know about you, but it feels a little weird to me to be having a celebration of new ministry 15 months into our time together.  Why are we doing this?

From our Senior Warden
Dear Friends,
One of my favorite activities is my weekly time at church each Sunday. I always receive a spiritual nugget or two and love seeing the wonderful people who make up St. Francis By the Sea. This summer, of course, is especially rich as we are able to be together again. Pretty special!!
There are treasured friends who are absent and we shall keep them in our hearts and memories. But how nice to see some young faces and to welcome new babies: the circle of life continues.
I look forward to welcoming the Bishop, experiencing Fr. Brent's Celebration of New Ministry and enjoying a summer picnic with all of you on July 11.
Thank you,
Milissa
The Grindle Family all served last Sunday---It is great to have Nora back and Scott read beautifully!
Seeking Eucharistic Ministers!
Serving at the Table of Our Lord is a beautiful form of religious practice. It has solemnity about it. It encourages grace. It serves others. And you get the best seat in the house. If you are interested in learning more about this critical ministry, talk to Fr. Brent.

Thank you to Scott, Sue, Nora and Zac...all of whom contributed so much last Sunday!
From Fr. Brent:
